Earrings Of Multiple Origins

I was just in the Market Day and Fiber Fair in Bowling Green, OH yesterday. Here is a sampling of the earrings I had for sale. The paper earrings drew a fair bit of attention. I am proud of them, but still need to perfect the process. Right now it takes me a very long time to get through the various steps it takes to get them into an acceptable earring stage. That is there are many casualties. Just when I think I’ve made it through the most difficult steps, I ruin a batch with the hole drilling (the final step). But this is the life of an artist; always hurdles to overcome and problems to solve.
My fiber artist friend Kathy Pereira de Almaida took this picture. She and I are awaiting acceptance into the Riverside Wine Festival in Findlay, OH in June where we hope to share a booth (and maybe enjoy some wine).
