Back In Action!
I’m back after a long journey across the country and over the sea! I am a bit travel weary but so anxious to get back to work. This is a bag I finished before my trip (available to buy @ the Angelwood Gallery in Grand Rapids, OH). But I did manage to knit some while traveling as well as purchase some Scottish wool. So the next few bags I make will be made from genuine Scottish, highland sheep. I found this great little wool shop just South of Edinburgh called the Woolfish. It is located near St. Abb’s Head on the coast very close to the England border. The woman who owns the shop is delightful and also runs a B&B. I feel like I struck gold finding her shop!
Looking forward to seeing your new “Woolfish” bags!
Hi Ann,
The bag shown is neat and I’m interested in knowing the colors of the Scottish wool you purchased. You had quite a trip and good for you.

The scottish wool I bought is in shades of green (blue/green). I had in my head that it reminded me of the sea and the different depths. But, alas, it does not want to felt for me. I have made two small ones to test it. They are nice but one can still see the stitches of the knitting. I like it when the stitches are un-detectible.
